I have been writing about travel and the travel industry since the days when Ryanair was a little-known Irish airline, Hong Kong was still in the hands of the British and only the very wealthy could afford to cruise.
Having started my career as a news journalist on an evening newspaper, I went on to spend five years as a reporter on the well-respected UK travel trade journal Travel Weekly before cutting loose to work as a freelance writer. My work is published in several British titles including The Observer, Daily Express and Times Online. I continue to write travel trade-related articles for Travel Weekly, Luxury Travel and ABTA News. I have also written a monthly travel column for GQ, a weekly personal finance feature for Teletext and articles for With Kids magazine.
