A statement on its website says it took the decision after Prime Minister Boris Johnson urged Britons to reconsider any travel plans and stay local to prevent the spread of the virus.

It added: “We know how disappointed our guests will be, especially during this time of year. Again, we have not made this decision lightly, but we must put the safety of our guests and staff first”.

All guests are being offered a £100 discount for rescheduling their holidays, but those who want to cancel will receive a full refund.
