Love Island: a taste of holidays in Cyprus

Cyprus is expected to be one of the first countries to welcome back British tourists this summer.

The island says it will allow fully vaccinated holidaymakers unrestricted access from next month. Holidaymakers who haven’t had both jabs are likely to be required to take a Covid test, although young children could be exempt.

Since Cyprus announced plans to allow British tourists to return, Jet2 says bookings have gone up 200%. It says it’s seeing demand for flights and holidays from July for the rest of the summer.

The UK Government says the earliest it will lift its ban on foreign holidays is 17 May so Jet2’s programme is suspended up to 16 May.

The operator says demand is also strong for the coming winter and next summer.
